The Caramella Girls are a fictional bubblegum dance group, created in 2008 following the success of the Nightcore (sped-up) version of the song Caramelldansen by Caramell. Both projects are under the same record label, and the reutilization of the song "Caramelldansen" in both bands is part of an agreement made between the Caramell members and Remixed Records. [1] Since then, they have introduced new songwriters, singers, and songs.

Their YouTube channel was created on May 19, 2008, and on the same day, a 3D animation featuring the first appearances of Vera, Mindy, and Nadine performing Caramelldansen (Speedy Mixes) was uploaded. These characters were created by Giovanni Sconfienza. [2]

Around late 2020, they began referring to their fans as "Candies" in the description of Back In My Life.

In June 2023, the Caramella Girls started a collaboration with Nekø Tape, creating a secondary channel named "Caramella Girls Blocky". This channel is dedicated to the Caramella Girls' music videos in a "blocky" style. The first blocky animation was Caramelldansen, made to commemorate the Caramella Girls' 15th anniversary.

On August 22, 2024, Caramella Girls collaborated with Makeship and launched a 10-day campaign (later extended by 3 days) in which you could pre-order a Vera plushie. The campaign ended with around 230 supporters, reaching 114% of the planned goal.

Trivia[]

This section is incomplete and could use a lot more information

  • The Caramella Girls' Youtube channel was originally called "ilovecaramell", as the name "Caramella Girls" was not yet conceived. As of December 12, 2021, the "External Links" section of the Caramelldansen's Wikipedia page, showed the youtube channel url with the old name.[3] Redirecting to the channel with the current name. However, this has since been fixed.
